As we all know, our children don't seem appreciative of the extra hour of sleep from daylight savings. So join me for some caffeination and donuts as we commiserate over the lack of sleep. We'll have a few activities set up for the kids to keep them occupied while we *might* enjoy a hot beverage.  

Join us for a clothing swap at the room! Bring those outgrown clothes to donate and take home some new-to-you clothes. Please, only bring in clothes that are free of stains and holes. Any remaining clothes at the end of the event will be donated to Mothers Helping Mothers.

Join us in your Halloween costumes for some not-so-spooky family fun!    Please RSVP! We’re going to soak up the last bit of outdoor weather and mingle at Pine Banks Park to kick off the new membership year. We have picnic site #5 reserved, the pavilion closest to the swings on the playground. Please RSVP. Please email events@melrosefamilyroom.org if you can volunteer for set up, popsicle czar, or clean up. Also, please let me know of any allergies!

MAKE UP SESSION Kickoff Meeting (attendance required): Going forward one adult from each member family will be required to attend a Kickoff Meeting to begin the membership cycle. This ensures that all families (new and old) review updates about our community, membership requirements, and expectations regarding use of the room.   The MFR is located on the lower level of the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church at 355 Franklin St. Parking is available in the church lot across the street. The MFR has a designated entrance on Franklin St (door furthest to the left when facing the church) which is accessible by keycode. A board member will greet you at the door for the Kickoff Meeting and you will receive the door code for the new year during the kickoff meeting. During the meeting, we will review membership requirements and expectations regarding use of the room. These are described in detail in our Member Handbook. We will also discuss community events and room rentals, and solicit feedback from renewing members about how to improve our community.
