Adult-only time at the MFR! You care for others all day- come do something just for yourself! Join with other MFR parents and caregivers to destress through coloring, doodling and creating easy designs.  This type of art can be a fun and calming way connect with yourself and others. This week's theme is spring time crafts! I'll have some kinetic sand sensory bins, play dough activity, and a couple other craft activities making handprint art. Come play and wear something that's ok to be a little messy in! Please RSVP so I know how many kids and ages to plan for.  *Play group will be on hiatus while the weather is nice, so this might be the last play group for a bit.

Volunteers needed to complete a variety of tasks at a the room.  Example of tasks currently on the list: Set up metal closet shelves, including stacking the two smaller units.  Unpack remaining boxes- most contents to be housed in metal cabinets  Reorganize storage closet so it’s easier to get to the vacuum and access other contents. Might need to get rid of the wooden shelf in there, doesn’t seem to help with organizing. Restring rope on climber. Hang swing. Join us for a morning of play in the Melrose Family Room! The room will be open for play, free for prospective members, too! We will also be hosting a carnival with games upstairs in the fellowship hall, perfect for our little players. We'll have ring toss, stacking cups, potato sack races, and more. We will also have snacks, juices, and coffees to power everyone up for a fun morning! Crafts and toys will also be set up in the fellowship hall. For the carnival in the fellowship hall, we will be asking for a minimum donation of $5 per family, paid upon arrival.  This event is open to members and prospective members, so feel free to bring friends who may be interested in joining our parent led co-operative.
