Cool down at the splash pad this Saturday with the MFR! The Hall Memorial Pool in Stoneham has graciously allowed MFR members early entry at 9 a.m. (before its open to the public!). Kids get in FREE, adults are $3/person.  Please register!

Did you know that the MFR has a plot at the Melrose Community Garden for all members to explore and enjoy!? Come by this Saturday at 9 a.m. to plant some seeds and enjoy a storytime.  It's going to be a hot one! Please remember to bring water to help little ones cool down.

Attention all Melrose Family Room Members!   Please come to Lincoln Elementary School on Saturday July 16th from 3 to 5pm for FREE ICE CREAM! We have an ice cream truck coming with all kinds of delicious frozen treats to make your tummy happy during a hot Summer day here in beautiful Melrose Massachusetts. One ticket per family. Meaghan DelGenio and Victoria Isotti, two theatre education graduate students at Emerson College, are running a three-week workshop on April 9th, April 16th, and April 23rd from 11:00-11:45am. We will be exploring storybooks featuring multicultural characters and themes through storytime, arts and crafts, music, and dance! Ages 18 months to 4 years old please. *This project is being run as part of a class at Emerson College and will be written about. No true names or identities will be written or revealed. We will take photographs of art projects and others with parental permission.
